Kathryn Birch

What are you passionate about?

All things people! I love watching young people grow up, and seeing their dreams and aspirations take shape.  I also get my biggest sense of achievement from being a small part in supporting people through their careers.  For me, that’s the best part of leading a business.

What are your greatest accomplishments?

Having my little boy.  I was diagnosed with cancer in my early 30s, and consequently my chances of conceiving and carrying a child were medically very slim.  Despite lots of failed IVF attempts, I fell pregnant naturally at the age of 42 and had my little boy 8 weeks premature – he was only 3Ib 15 oz. He will always be my little miracle and my biggest achievement.

What do you love most about being part of The Key Group?

The Key Group is so inspiring, forward-thinking and truly mission-led which is why I wanted to join the group.  Its a values-driven organisation with a big heart, and a clear purpose to help improve education outcomes for children.

What else should we know about you?

I absolutely love interior design and in my spare time I like to create inspiring room designs for my own home and family/friends - this includes 12 months spent renovating a Georgian house which has been my biggest and best renovation to date!
