The Key Group acquires TimeTabler, extending its market-leading offering to schools and MATs

15th May 2024: The Key Group, owner of leading Management Information System (MIS) brands Arbor, ScholarPack, and Integris, has completed its acquisition of October Resolutions Ltd - owner of TimeTabler

TimeTabler is used by 2,300 schools globally, of which 1,700 are UK customers. Its market-leading suite of products includes:

  • TimeTabler: For planning and scheduling a school timetable

  • Options: For analysing students’ subject choices at GCSE, A-Level and other free choice parts of the curriculum

  • StaffCover: For arranging cover when staff are absent

A school timetable is an essential part of a secondary school’s annual, termly and day-to-day operations, yet creating it is usually a time-consuming and complex task. 

TimeTabler takes the busywork out of timetable planning by guiding staff through the process, fixing issues automatically, and making timetable recommendations for schools to consider. 

With TimeTabler coming in-house, The Key Group can now offer leading timetabling software deeply integrated into its family of MIS brands - giving schools and trusts an easy way to join up their timetabling and MIS workflows. The Key Group intends to invest in TimeTabler R&D, tripling engineering resource and focusing on the centrality of timetabling to flexible working within schools.

TimeTabler will join the MIS Division at The Key Group, who will continue to offer TimeTabler to all schools and trusts, regardless of which MIS they use.
